Welcome to the start of the 2010 Summer Extended Learning Program (ELP).  There are many important training events happening at the Joint School of Carpentry in 2010.  Below is a list of training classes taking place during the Summer of this year.

The ELP is intended to further develop skills which will enhance your employability.  Participation in one or all of these classes will give you a chance to advance your career, broaden your horizons and help you to learn and try new techniques. The construction environment is ever-changing and Union Carpenters need to change with it to make sure we remain the best in the world.  This training program will help you do just that.

 POLICIES

• School closure for weather follows Prince George’s County Schools.
• If you have to cancel, you MUST call the school and officially withdraw from class.  Failing to withdraw may result in you paying a $25 non-refundable fee for future classes.
• Classes may be cancelled when the minimum class size is not met.
• You must be on time and attend all your scheduled classes to get class credit.
• You are required to wear work boots, long pants and a shirt with sleeves to class.
• You will only be notified if the class is cancelled.  Class dates are subject to change if necessary.
